After living 8 years in French Guiana and 7 years in Brazil, I discovered a true passion for the Amazonian forest.
It must be said that shortly after my arrival in Kourou, I had the chance to meet and to be able to live about 2 months, with Native Americans Galibi in Degrad Savane, near Iracoubo. The latter make me share their life, between traditional hunting, fishing with the nivrée and life in the village, remaining humble before their knowledge of the forest, the dexterity to move there, the knowledge acquired from the ancients on the medicinal properties of Plants.
I learned to know the forest in their contacts and I quickly understood the major stake, causing this enthusiasm with the major economic players, who regardless of the indigenous peoples, have seized these riches, to the detriment of Its safeguard.
So I struggled, for this primary issue, I try to alert, on this future in great danger, which is threatened with extinction within 150 years, at the current rate of deforestation. I organize photo exhibitions and expeditions in Amerindian land ..
So yes, I utter this great cry : SOS AMAZONIA.
The challenge of my journeys discovered among the guardian peoples of the great forest and to be able to help them financially so that it can fight peacefully, the economic and political powers, especially in Brazil. So go to meet Kalapalos or Kamayuras in the High Xingu, Wai Wai between Santarem and Manaus, Pataxos of the state of Bahia ...
